Ironwood House, an elegant, 2 story, 3-bedroom country house, built in
1939. Set just 300 feet from the ocean on 1/2 acre, the grounds feature
rock gardens, coffee plants, papaya, mango and many other exotic tropical
trees and plants. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, or surfing at nearby Richardson
Beach State Park or sit back an relax on our large private lanai. We are
just four miles from historic Hilo, 45 minutes from Kilauea volcano, and
close to several botanical gardens.

The Blue Ginger room overlooks the ocean, is our
largest room and has a private bath and dressing room. It has a queen size
bed and a couch suitable to sleep up to 4 guests. $75/night/couple. Singles

The Bamboo room features queen size bed and overlooks
the lanai. This room shares a large handmade tile bathroom with the Hibiscus
room. $65/night/couple. Singles $55. |

The Hibiscus room overlooks the garden, has a full
sized bed and shares the bath with the bamboo room. $55/night/couple. Singles
$50. The Bamboo and Hibiscus room can be combined as a suite for $100 per
night. |
All
rooms are second floor accommodations, with ceiling fans and off street
parking. Breakfasts are continental style featuring island fruits and pastries,
coffee, tea served in your room or on the lanai. Smoking is allowed outside.
Children are welcome by prior arrangements. Reservations are secured by
50% deposit; MC, Visa or check. Cancellations: We will refund you deposit
if we are notified 14 days prior to check in.
